Subject: Turn downs decrease performance?
IP: Logged

Message:
I went to the local shop today and had them put turn downs on my exhaust before the axle. The idle sounds great but I don't feel the same performance as the cat-back exhaust in the mid-range. Would the cat-back make that much of a difference? Did I lose a lot of backpressure by doing this? By the way, I have a flowmaster 40 series.

you want as little backpressure after the Y pipe as possible. the guys that use cutouts will tell you it's true.

lost mid range torque sounds strange..give your pcm some time to adjust.
