Hey guys,

Sorry I havent been around much, but as some of you know my 97 V6 got totaled. But the cool news is that I just got my 98 5.2 Standard Cab 2x4. And its sooo nice. After driving around my v6 for so long and having alot of mods done to it, I now wish I just would have got a V8 from the start. This thing rips and its still stock. I mean, not even a intake!

I'd like to hear from some of the guys (Intence,Tom, whoever..) about what to watch for... What to mod first... Is there anything I already know about the V6 that I can use for the V8? Just some opinions and stuff.

Talk to ya all later!

Krcperformance.com has some dyno screens so you can see what makes what differences. 50mm throttle body and mopar performance pcm both add a good deal of torque while an M1 intake manifold drops the torque considerably at the low end but the high end gets a considerable boost in power. R/T heads also help the top end as does exhaust modifications. NOS boosts horsepower by 90% of the rated power but boosts torque by 150% hp/tq. Ex., a 100hp shot boosts a vehicle by approximately 90hp but by about 140ft-lbs torque. Nothing else really changes from a V6.
Personally, I'd boost my torque before i started shifting my powerband upwards. The only reason i'm not doing anything now is because i'm a college student. But I'd do Intake, TB/M1/Heads, Mopar PCM, 1.7 Roller Rockers, Headers, Ignition in that order. But I'm partial to torque, more go when not at WOT.

Sweeet! Thanks for the information LTU. With the moneys being tight, the heads and intake will prolly have to wait. I Just got out of college, so now the bills for colege start coming in :(

Ohh well thou :) It'll all get done someday...
