Hello all!
I have a 1992 Dakota 318 with about 106k miles on it. Recently, it has started running rough, but usually only on really hot days (90 degrees plus) or after the engine has run for a while. I get the error code of 27 from the check engine light. 27 indicates the following, but how do I figure out which injector is the problem?:
(Thanks to the orignal poster of the error code).

27 Injector #1 output driver does not respond properly to the control signal. **
or
Injector #2 output driver does not respond properly to the control signal. **
or
Injector #3 output driver does not respond properly to the control signal. **
or
Injector #4 output driver does not respond properly to the control signal. **
or
Injector #5 output driver does not respond properly to the control signal. (except 2.5L) **
or
Injector #6 output driver does not respond properly to the control signal. (except 2.5L) **
or
Injector #7 output driver does not respond properly to the control signal. (5.2L only) **
or
Injector #8 output driver does not respond properly to the control signal. (5.2L only) **

Any help would be appreciated.

Thanks!
Jonathan

Check fuel pressure which would point to a bad fuel pump or stopped up fuel pump filter.

I've changed the fuel filter

and the fuel pump seems to work, or at least according to the mechanic that looked at it. Any other suggestions? (I am hoping it is something simple...)

it may be your hall effect sensor which sets up timing for your sequential injection, or your ECU has a glitch in it and needs a new flash
