Just upgraded myself, 2003 4.7L 4x4 CC Auto 3.92s. Let me know if your 318 seems like a kick-in-the-pants difference from your 3.9L. So far I am not overly impressed but like my ride more none the less! Any Dodge is great in my opinion!

The 318 and 360 are prety much identical looking from the outside. Just a slightly different stroke for the 318. So with the experience I have had with my R/T, I woudl say check for the intake manifold plenum gasket leak. If all else, get the 2bbl M1. All mods for a 5.9 wil work on your 5.2.

I just got my 99 5.2 4x4, and its good. I like the truck alot. Although my brothers 00 4.7 2x is a lot quicker than mine, and my gas mileage is just flat horrific...

Other than that, my truck had 43 when I got it, no probs for me...yet

I just bought a 98 Durango with a 360 (surprise) and 4x4. I love it. No mechanical problems since I bought it, ~5K miles ago. Owner said she had no problems with it either. It is definitely on of the most bad a$$ stock SUVs on the road. Enjoy your new truck!

I've had some problems with mine but mostly the brakes. I've gone through about 5 sets of rotors and pads and most recently my master cyclinder and master booster had to be replaced at 92,000 miles. ooucch $1700 bucks for that whole job.

Other than that, I got that engine pinging unless I run 92 octane. I had to replace the water pump and 2 batteries so far. And gas milage sucks 10-11 in the city and 13 -14 highway.

I do love the truck though and it hauls darn well for its size. And I get my oil changed every 3k so I'm going to keep chucking along till it dies and then I'm buying a "hemi"
