Hey all. I finally finished porting my intake manifold today, and my MP PCM came in this morning. I spent all day putting them on ('bout 6 hours with dinner) but man what a difference. I never pushed it to the red line but I can not get over how much harder it pulls.
I transplanted a 318 into my 95 dak a few years ago with a KRC 206 cam and some minor head work. Later I threw in a 180 t-stat and autolite 3923's. I put on a 6x2.5 air filter (should have gone larger but clearance was a problem) Next came the MSD ignition and home ported tb, then I cut off the muffler for that good ol' redneck sound. and none of those compare to the differences I saw today.
It was a pretty nice motor before but it is just amazing how hard the 318 pulls from 2000 to 5000 rpms now. I need to go find myself another z28 to race tomorrow :-)
Now what should I do to my truck next? This stuff is getting really addicting.

It doesn't look like anything special but I'll try to get some pics up later today. Its overcast out right now so the pics wouldn't be any good at the moment.
I used to work at a GM dealer (along with jeep, toyota, mitsu, BMW, f*rd, etc) and I have driven alot of bad @$$ cars in the past few years. I seriously think that I could contend with a newer Z-28 in my dak. I can't wait to hit the track and see whats up.

oh yeah, I also have a set of 1.6:1 roller rockers in the heads which I didn't mention in my original post
