Message:
Has anyone ported their own TB at home. I'm going ot embark on this task but want to hear from the people that have done it.

Have you had any vibs?
Gains?
Losses?

Even if its a wast of time I'm still gonna port and try to match it to the intake. Every little bit helps.

easy to do, takes 30 min including removal
and reinstall. just make sure you clean it real
good after polishing it...dont want any slivers
gettin sucked up. I didnt notice any gains but
it cant hurt to do it.

Yeah I've done about 6 or 7 of them. The gains on this is small, kinda Like a Fastman, but any gain is better than none. And it don't cost $200.

No Sir, nobody has had any type of vibration out of my port and polish. I'm kinda thinking that on the fastman that they thin down the t-plate shaft to much. Now don't get me wrong I'm not saying I know this for sure, but that is my thought. Good luck doing yours, it's not hard to do, and is not real time consuming at all. And for the price doing it yourself, (about $4 + your labor) you can't go wrong, if you do it right.

Check out JasonCop99 and e-mail him and see what he sez about it and also check out Y2Kota and see what he sez about his. These are a couple references for you to ask about the vibration.

My, Lynn... You sure like to polish.

I did mine a while back ago, and didn't notice too much, except for smoother acceleration, and my idle settled back down... I also cleaned the IAC plunger while I had the TB off.

Nice free difference.
