Today I unexpectedly made two upgrades to my Dakota. I had to have a new hi flow Cat put on because the old one died(talk about a performance decrease). Then I put in the hurst short throw shifter, because my stock shifter was making a "grinding" sound. Having said that, now I am all excited about working on the truck so I am trying to decide what to do next. It's a 99 RC 318 5 speed. I now have the hi flow Cat going into a glass pack then to a dual outlet. For now the exhaust is flowing pretty good. As far as intake goes I only have K&N FIPK, with that plastic flap by the radiator. Assuming I have around $400 to spend what should my next move be? Should I go with an electric fan and under drive pulley kit or go with the M1 intake (I'd be using the stock TB for now). It doesn't seem like I should get a new computer chip until I get a new intake and TB. Your suggestions and comments will be greatly appreciated.
