2002 Dakota Sport CC 4.7L. Sometimes, not very often, when I start my truck up, and put in gear, it just sits there for about 3 or 4 seconds like its in neutral or something. If I tap the gas pedal a little then it gets goin fine, but just at idle and, only for a few seconds, it just sits there. Other than a flowmaster, I haven't changed anything on this truck. Has anyone else ever had this problem.

Make sure your trans. fluid is full... and maybe the filter is clogged up. It sounds like the line pressure is taking a while to build up.......

I get my oil changed at regular intervals, and the guys there always check trans fluid level, I used to work with em, so they treat me right. I had the fuild and the filter changed not to long ago. It was doin this before and after I had it changed. Like I said, it's not very often either, maybe like once every 2 months. Oh well, let me know if anyone has ever had this happen.

my 02 4.7 does the exact same thing! Seems like it only does it when the truck is cold. If I put the truck in gear right away and take my foot off the brake it takes about 3 or 4 seconds to start moving.
