 Subject: creaking front end

Has anyone had a problem with the bushings on 2001 dakota qc. I had taken my truck to the shop about 6 months ago for a "creaking" noise in the front end. Turns out the bushings were full of dirt and crap. The mechanic cleaned them out and the problem went away until now. I think it is starting all over again. Any info would be appreciated.

i have a 00 Quad 4x4 and it did the same thing.
it actually turned out to be the sway bar bushings. i simple removed them and added a little grease to them.
this happened last year, and now it is beginnning to do it again. i am going to upgrade the stock rubber bushings with poly, and drill/tap/install a grease fitting int them. that way i don't have to dissassemble it to grease.
