Subject: How to remove front bumper?
IP: Logged

Message:
I did a search for this but could not come up with anything. Anybody has a quick "how to" on how to remove front bumper on my 2000 QC. I love the truck except that ugly front bumper. Like others had lots of problems with chipping. Painted mine same as truck color( intense blue) but I need to repaint it. First time I just masked everything but still had overspray etc etc. I wnat to remove bumper and sand it and repaint it. I thought I ask here first, you know how dealerships are. Any help wb appreciated

It's easy. You need a 18mm socket. Lift up the
hood and remove the 2 bolts on both sides of
the radiator. They are the front bumper
mounts. Then get under the car and remove
the triangular side braces. They are located
near the end of the bumpers.

I don't know if our trucks have self adjusting
brakes. But if they do, that will make a noise
when you back up. Good Luck

For the rear end noise take your wheels off check for
damaged parts it will be noticable if no damage and pads are
still good check the two universals on the drive shaft get
undernieth and phisically try to move it in all directions check
for play in them if not that pull your rear housing off your diff
and look for spare parts lol
98 Dakota no noise in the rear whatsoever I love my dak

The problem is with the plastic front bumper cover.
The space between the bottom of the headlights and the front bumper cover is about one inch. The space is equal on both sides and the same space is between the top part of the fender and runs all the way to front fender wells.
Is the an adjustment for this some where? Can this gap be closed by an adjustment?
If so any advice on how too? Thank you.
