this is my first post to this site, and i have a question for anyone with a 4.7 5 speed, that is using nitrous. I am considering a NX express kit, has anyone used this kit and is it worth the money? Any information and or performance data on this kit would be great.

Haven't heard much discussion of Nitrous on the board since I've been here this tends to be more of a Bigger or Blower crowd however you could also search the older threads.

bernd, any experience with the NX kits, good bad or other wise? I have read some conflicting stories about nitrous on the 4.7 motors. Mainly the concern is about the pistons and the location of the top ring on the piston, also the make of the piston itself. If nitrous on this engine is not a wise choice let me know, If it would be safe what shot is the safest?

I used to run the NX kit on my Dakota (100HP shot) before switching over to the blower. It's a rock-solid kit and the jetting is darn-near perfect (unlike NOS). Safe, 75HP shot...track and "fun"...100HP. No more than the 100HP though...if you do, it's at your own risk.

Geez sorry Bernd, I guess I've just been so wrapped up in the conversations about twin turbo's and SC's (Drool, Drool) that I overlooked the Nitrous in your sig.
