 Subject: oil pressure gauge?

I have a 2001, 4.7, 4x4 and i changed the oil in it today (I use to be mechanic so I did it correctly). when i started it up the oil pressure gage doesn't register any pressure. I ran it for a long time and seemed to run fine mabe alittle warm but seemed alright, but the gage still is not working.And the check gage light came on. Any one have the same problem?

I found out i broke the sensor off when i was trying to get off the oil filter
