92 dak 318 auto 117,400 miles on it.
new starter, neutral switch, battery. every once in awhile the truck wont start. you can turn the key and all you hear is the whine of the fuel pump. sometimes you can turn the key and it gets delayed for a couple of seconds. sometimes you can put in neutral and you can get it to start. every once in awhile it will start normally. it bugs me . alot of the gen II dak seem to have this problem. does anybody know what is wrong with my truck.

seen it before ,more often than not you have to clean up the grounds on the truck under the hood. grab a can of antiseize compound and some sand paper and look for all the grounds on the truck on the wheel wells and the engine remove ,clean and put back with a little antiseize.
i remember on an old pontiac i had i had to make a ground to bond the engine to the chasis even though the engine was grounded to the battery. so keep that in mind as well.
hope it helps
