I went to www.carsdirect.com and placed an order for a dakota, well, teh nearest dealership called and said they had a 2003 4x2 Club Cab 4.7l sport plus with the stampede package. The winow sticker is $24,495, they gave me a price of $19,555. They also said they will throw another discount in there becasue i bought my ast truck from them. What do you all think? Yes or no?

A $5K-plus discounted price compared to MSRP, and more to come? If the truck has everything you want (or can live with), and you can arrange a do-able payment why are you asking? Run, do not walk, to get your new truck.
I bought my truck last summer for $24.4K and felt I got a very good price. It had everything I wanted, plus some extras that I now love. I got basically everything but auto, leather, buckets, factory alarm, and 4-wheel ABS.
I really, really, really wanted a red sport, but the last two trucks my salesman found were a graphite SLT and sliver sport. I took the SLT and the color is just fine. Besides the SLT trim looks lousy with red (IMO), so the graphite turned out a better match. The SLT trim facias don't go too well with some of the color choices. Eventually I'm gonna put Sport or R/T bumpers and facias on it.

Ask them what the invoice cost is on the truck. Dont pay more than invoice.

ORDER the truck EXACTLY how you want it, in the COLOR you want!! NOt this, oh, they didn't have that color on the lot, LOL.

the truck is exaclty what i'm wanted, it is bright silver, which is the color i wanted, the only thing baout it i wish was different is that it be a 5-speed, but with all the driving i will be doing, i think i will like th auto beter over time.

You should do what YOU feel most comfortable with and what will make YOU happy. When I was shopping for my kota, I drug members of my family along. After a few trips they started getting restless and tired of it. So they started pressuring me. Don't get me wrong, I love my kota. But there are a few things that I wish I had gotten on it.
My advice would be to go test drive it. Then as soon as you get out of that one, test drive one with the same engine but a 5 speed. See which one you like better. If you want the 5 speed, order the one you want the way you want it. If not and that Stampede has everything you're looking for, get that one. (assuming you can work out the financing).
But that's just my view on the whole deal. Just take your time and don't rush anything. Heck, there are tons of kotas out there for sale, you just gotta find the right one. I drove 300 miles away from home to buy mine.

I just got my new truck for invoice - the $3000 rebate... and the invoice went up from when I rodered by $400 so I actually got it for $3400 under invoice....
