It's getting hotter everyday here in Maryland. I can already feel my 4.7 starting to "dog" on me as the humidity gets higher. I see a LOT of postings debating the replacement of thermostats to a 180. If you go to a 180; won't this make the fuel mixture somewhat richer? Need some opinions on this before I do it. Thanks in advance..

Man,

Something is wrong with your truck, I have never had my 4.7 "dog" as you put it. I notice little difference between hot temps and -30 F, my truck must make the higher average stock horse power becaue there is great power all the time. Now with the H.O. cams and intake along with the Fastman tb it is getting close to the R/T in torque and it is over a liter bigger!! Get the cams or the tb, a t-stat isn't going to make any power you can really feel.

later,

Andrew
