If the backup lights are out, why are you looking for a neutral safety switch and not a backup light switch?

its called the backup light neutral switch. my back up lights quit working so first i replaced the bulbs. that didnt work. so then i replaced the backup neutral safety switch. that worked. your truck should have one .It should be located on the driver side of the transmission just behind the shift linkage it should have a wire going to it . the switch has either two posts or three posts. hope this helps.

th4e "Nuetral safty switch" makes so that you can not start the vehicle while in gear, the transmission must be in neutral. There is no such thing as a "backup neutral saftey switch" but there is a backup lite switch connected to the gear selector or transmission that turns on the backup lites when you shift into reverse.
