 Subject: check engine light

I have a 98 DAK with a 5.2 auto trans.My check engine light came on so I had the codes checked.It came up telling me it was an 02 sensor fault.but get this I had to stop to get fuel on the way home(too late to get sensor)the light went off.so I delayed getting sensor.A week later
light came back on.topped tank off light went out.weird or what ?

You might want to check the gas in your tank. You might have got a bad mixture that's floating on top...when your tank gets so empty, the bad gas starts getting burned. Next time before you fill up, try to burn the tank empty, remove/clean your O2 sensor and get new gas.
