i have a 95 4x4 w/ a 5.2 and on the way home from bowling today i went to pass a line of 4 cars and it didnt kick down when i floored it and i had it to the floor and it wouldnt go over 70 and then after i got around them and let off the transmission finally kicked down and then the check engine light came on and went right back off and hten it started jerking really bad and the check engine light jsut started flashing and then it stayed on and the truck ran like sh^* all the way home and when i got home i checked the codes and it showed codes 12,53,42,27,31,and 32 so i looked them up in my manual and 12 is memory standby power loss????? 53 is Module internal problem?????? 42 is Automatic shutdown relay driver circuit?????? 27 is injector ouput circuit not responding ????? 31 is canister purge solenoid circuit???? and 32 is the EGR system which i know what that is but it sounds to me like there is something majorly wrong with the electrical system so i was wondering if someone could shed some light on the problem for me cause lately my truck is really making me mad and costing me all kinds of money to keep it fixed its about to the point where i'm considering trading it in for a chevy:-( cause i'm still in high school and i cant afford to be making payments on the thing and paying to fix it every hundred miles....and its not what your thinking if you think because i'm only 18 that i tear thecrap outta the truck cause i have fixed the truck up so nice compared to the way it was when i bought it but no matter what i do to the thing something always manages to go wrong

Sounds like my old Ford F150. Probably better off to get a new truck but remember that all makes are machines and all makes have problems. I became so downhearted with the ford, didn't abuse it either and put money in it every month to keep her going. Even dropped a new engine in it to no avail. I finally decides that it was time to change and I just happened to find my 97 Dak! havent had her long but I'm totally satisfied with her!! tAKE TIME AND YOU'LL FIND THE RIGHT ONE!

Nothing was wrong with the truck when i bought it i heard the owner of it took really good care of it i just meant it looked like an old man's truck with a topper on it no offense it just looked crappy so i put a body lift and some meats and grill guards and billet grilles and rocker panels and nerf bars and the duals and headers and its pretty mean looking it just is turnign out to be a big piece. as far as the bowling i just started doing that cuase thers nothing to do in these little hillbilly towns where i live so some friends and mine took up bowling i checked the codes twice though and i got the same ones then i drove it and it started tripping codes again so i went to check it again and the check engine light wouldnt even come on........... This morning on the way to school though it ran perfectly fine so its hard to take it and have it checked out if it only does it occasionally

I bought an R/T. Right now I am not happy with it at all. Damn rearend went out with only 20k on the truck. I've had it since it was new, and never abused the truck. When the rear end went out thnk god I was only doing 30. Back wheels locked up solid. Started bunny hoping. Drive shaft came off. Oil every were. Dealership replaced the rearend, but the truck is still not right. Has a weird hop over bumps. Took it back in and the said everything was "solid". Taking it to a diffrent place on wed. See if I cant get this bad boy back to normal.

the 12 code will be from unhooking the battery in the last so many starts. If you have unhooked your battery in the last 50 or so starts then thet will be on the codes.
