Been waiting a long time til I found just the right truck. Used to have a Ford F150 but never again! Finally found a cherry '97 Dakota SLT extended cab. The interior of this thing does'nt have a scratch in it and the truck seems to have been garage kept. Body has a few paint chips but beyond that it is the best truck i have ever owned. I'm new to this site but am growing fonder of it every day. Thanks to all you folks out there with daks. for all the info and tips to help keep it looking and running great! I love this truck!!!!

hey hammers, why dont u go chill on the f150 boards, u should have bought a dak in the first place, too late so u cant post here. also, im sure u want lots of power out of your 4 banger 2.5 cherry dakota with chrome bumpers. invest in throttle body spacers. heck get 4 of them and put them together (kinda like those 3 mexicans and your mom last nite). thats 15x4 = 60 hp!

V10 Ram take some of your own advice and go to a ram site. What the hell is your problem the guy finally smartened up and bought a dakota and you should give congrads, but all you can do is give him hell. hammers...you can find a ton of posts on exhausts in the archives search; just put in a keyword. I've used Flowmasters for years/ great results. My last two Daks had a similar setup. I had a '92 5.2, now a '01 4.7. I found even the 50 series (about 16" long) too loud, so mounted 70 series instead (22"). Not as much floorboard noise, but same performance as 50. Cat-back single entry/dual exit, custom 2 1/2" pipes. Homemade intake into stock box/K&N drop in.

hammers- I got a delta 40 on mine dumped right behind it. Love it and the sound. Don't mind v10 ram you'll have those kinds on here in the general board. join and you lose those a$$holes cause you can post in the members only pages.
