i went too two parts stores monday and i couldnt find a good brass terminal cap and rotor....can someone tell me who makes a good cap and rotor that will last a little longer,,,,since the 5.9 ones are a pain in the A$$ too change?????

Napa, Pep Boys, and Kragen all sell brass contact cap and rotors. Napa brand is Echelin(sp?), Pep Boys is Borg/Warner, and the Kragen is some off name, but namde by Borg/Warner(has Borg/Warener logo on box)

PEP BOYS said they dont stock the cap and rotor for a 2001 5.9....he even asked me if i was sure it had a cap and rotor???hahhahahahhaha

I have a 2001 5.9 I got my cap and rotor from NAPA...i also got one earlier from Borg Warner but one of the posts were cracked....i think i got the cap and rotor both for maybe 15 bucks

I got mine right off the napaonline.com website, showed up in 2 days. I had planned on doing it over the weekend anyhow so I liked the idea of not have to go across town to the local napa.

Then ask for a cap and rotor for a '97 Ram with the 5.9. It's the same damn engine. Or '98-'00 Dakota R/T. Mkae sure you specify R/T. They have them in the computers.

O'rielly's Auto Parts also stock the Borg/Warner brass cap.....and once again you have to ask for like a 1997 model, these stores dont upgrade there inventory.
