My O5 Dakota 2 winters ago wouldn't move when i shift it into drive. It would run but would not move when i hit the gas, no matter what gear it was in. It would rev when i stepped on the gas but it would not move. It had just over 132,000 miles at that time. I changed the trans sump filter, fluids and haven't had a problem since.

I have a 2000 dakota quad cab sport with the 4.7
45 rfe transmission. I just recently changed the
shift solenoid block that is attached to the valve
body inside the transmission. It drove fine the
first 2 days then it just quit shifting all
together. However, it will shift into gear if you
Rev the engine up. Any assistance or info is
greatly appreciated.

I have a 2000 Dodge Dakota rear wheel drive quad
cab pickup that was working just fine. I drove it
last week and it shifted fine. Now, I start it up
and it runs but it won't go into any gear. I can't
hear it shift at all. I have very little money
but need to get it running.
