 Subject: Low temp gauge reading

’98 Dakota Sport V8… Temperature gauge only reads about 140. Heater still blows some warm air, but not as much as when you get the rpm’s up and you can feel the air getting warmer. The t-stat was replaced about a year ago (was overheating) and it worked fine, but gradually the temp gauge keeps reading lower & lower. Should the t-stat be replaced again? Any tips appreciated!
