Message:
Does any one know if anyone is producing a new intake manifold for the 4.7? I remember reading something on the KRC site that said they were working an a design but I haven't seen anything yet.
I'm asking because I was thinking of getting the HO intake manifold but I might hold off for a while if someone is coming out with a better design...

Hope Marty doesn't mind but here is what he said when I questioned him on the 206 cams compatibility with the HO intake.

"The intake stock with the Haltech is pulling 6800rpm CW with the 206 cams and low compression, that is not a HO version either. It's changing my thoughts on this manifolds design."

SO no I think your best bet is the HO.

How about the Hughes engines modified intake. How does it flow compared to the HO?

I think all he did was shorten the runners a little more than the HO. The problem is the PCM programing in these trucks. That is what holds them back.

CW,

Would you say the best/easiest/price wise PCM mod for an 01 4.7 would be the KB Optiizer II?

I for one would really like to hear your views on this.

Thanks,
