I just bought a 2002 QC Dak 4.7L. Was just wandering what muffler I could put on to give a little more sound and maybe a little more pep. I'm not very educated on motors. I had a friend tell me that some engines are tuned perfect from the factory.

I have a 92 dak 4x4 and I want to put a 3" dual exhaust with two Flowmaster 40s. Is it possible to do this with a 22 gal. tank? Thanks

Ryan,

Your friend is pretty much right. Unless you do a lot of other mods-performance wise that is.

You'll get a different sound, and usually a decrease in low end TQ and no real gains.

Tyler, maybe you could start your own thread?

i recently put on a flowmaster 80 series (cuz every r/t has a 40 seems like) and i got a very agressive sound... it feels like i got a lil more getup with mine, but sometimes that stuff is in ur head. and check ur emissions laws if you plan on 2 cats. here in north texas a lot of counties wont let you have 2 cats.... they say its "not properly balancing the exhaust" or some governmental bull. i guess they think everyone drives a rice burner these days. God help us.
