Hey Guys. I have a chance to buy a 97 Ram with only 34000 miles on it. Sweet truck. It has the 5.9 liter and was wondering how many hp it would have? Thanks for your help.

Thanks for the help guys. Hopin' it would be in the 250-260 range as I have a truck camper and 14ft fishin' boat to haul. What mod's would help push out a few more ponies? Thanks again.

The 5.9 has a lot of good low end torque, and is said to be good for towing, in stock form. This from a dak 4.7'er.

And by the way, 'sd....'

Where did you get 300? With some serious mods, yes, stock, almost overrated at 245, and that's at the crank as said.

I was recently looking on the mopar performance parts website and saw that they make 1.7 roller rockers, r/t camshafts, r/t cylinder heads, and the m1 manifold. All of these parts ended up costing around $2500. These are all internal mods that i wouldnt really want to attempt myself so i was just wondering the aproximate cost of labor charges if i was to have a professional dodge dealer install the parts for me. If anyone can help me figure this out it would be a great help. thanks.

if you have the dealer do it your lookin at somewhere around $800-1000 or more. find a nice performance shop somewhere. they are usually reliable and it wont cost quite as much. im not positive but im pretty sure for the m1 you can just unbolt a few bolt and slap it on in place of the old intake. hope to save you a little money.

peace
matt
