Make sure you get the installation kit, gaskets, and some extra vacuum hose for the brake booster.

Tips: Drain the coolant about 1 gallon, change the oil after you're done (before starting it up), use "The Right Stuff" on both front and rear seals (allow to tack up a bit before putting the manifold back down), let the PCM "learn" the new manifold for about 50 miles. Then...floor it and hang on. :)

Does the Mopar gaskets kit not have a gasket for that section? Is silcone required to complete the M1 install?

What if I can't wait 50mile until I Floor it? How long should I wait until I can run the engine if silcone is used to seal up the front and back areas?

If they didn't mention it, I doubt it.

I already have my Install Kit and should have my M1 and gaskets this Tuesday.

Bernd, I have read conflicting stories about the M1 manifold. Do they hurt bottom end torque in favor of top end HP or is it strictly a stock replacement that enhances power throughout the range? Just wanting to clarify if I want one or not...

Also, is it $375 shipped from you or another place? (stupid question probably)

Thanx.

A while back, you mentioned that the M1 was on back order. Do you know if DC has gotten around to filling out the huge number of back orders ?

Last I checked with the dealer, there was 95 back orders for the M1.

hey folks got my m1 installed. between it and the mopar computer my g-tech showed me an increase of 22 h.p. and .3 off of my 1/4 mile. i figured i would get 22 h.p alone out of the intake. could be my g-tech screwing me also, i think that thing is not very good for figuring out h.p. it relies on too much stuff to be just right, especially the weight you enter. ohh well. the installation was a breeze, took me about 5 hours. all and all i would say that i'm pleased with it.

i had the mopar computer on with the stock intake and it felt like it was falling on its face badly when it would rev up with stock intake but with the m1 it pulls hard all the way till it shifts. i did notice a loss in bottom end though, which is good for me though. before i would spin the tires till around 35mph if i mashed it from a dead stop. it will still break them loose from a dead stop with the m1 but not as bad as before.

Theres a dude that put his on and said it lost the bottom end at first but once the PCM learned the new intake was on he gained it back. Did U put the 2bbl or the 4bbl on?

i put the 2bbl on it. i have driven it long enough for the computer to learn about it but it still doesn't feel like it did before. i love it anyways though because once it does start to pull strong it really pulls clear up till it shifts.
