folks, i just got my 03 4x4, 4.7 5spd LSD from the factory. she runs great but im having a hard time getting answers to a few general questions. ive searched the boards here , but you guys are miles ahead with your crazy mods...

1)i have the part time transfer case.. can i run 4high for 0-60 runs, or should i leave it in 2hi.

2)whats the redline for the engine, and max speed for a stock engine

3)im willing to throw some mods on it, and ive heard from several people a flowmaster is the best one for general increased performance and better gas milage. what do yall think?

thanks a million

your top speed is limited by the comp... mine is 118 but I have heard any where from 98-118... If you have traction problems in 2x run it in 4x.. you will be slower b/c of the power loss in the 4x but if don't know how to launch your truck w/o a lot of wheel spin it will be faster... flowmaster is good, has a good sound... I would look into the spintech as well. You should also add a 180 thermostat, 392 plugs, and a K&N filter... for $50.00 you will gain some power 1-2 mpg...

For Exhaust I've heard from a lot of Sources the MBRP is the best and they are on sale for 25% or more off with free shipping from Elite Customs Click Here

Factory Redline is 6,000 RPM's but are goverened to about 5,200 I think, (I can't swear to this, cause I had mine flashed as soon as I got my truck and it turns 7,000 RPM's now)

Good Luck and dee you at the Parts Stores.

Later,
Lynn
