Hey guys, I've been out of the loop for a few months... has anyone tried the KRC cams and HO setup yet? If so, what kind of gains are we seeing?

Thanks
Chuck

I have the 206 street cams from KRC. I definately noticed a difference with them. The truck pulls alot harder after 3000rpm now and easily up to 6000 now. I feel the lowend did not change much at all because I can still pull consistant 2.1 60footers all day at the track. I would recommend a PCM flash to realize the full potential of the cams.

Kicker01,
How much gear are you running? Tall/short tires? RPM range? I am looking at their 206 cam and using it with a 5spd.
Thx

Let's put it like this.....
there's a dyno graph for these cams at KRC Performance's Dyno Page. I am making the same power (give or take) with the Jeep HO cams and a computer flash that Steve is making with the 206 cams and NO flash. I can only imagine the power that these would make with a PCM flash AND the 206 cams!!

Sorry, didn't clarify my self, what I was trying to say was, has anyone installed them by themselves in there own garage? Is it that hard if you have the right tools and are really careful is it possible for someone that hasnt done it before.

Super6, I have 3.55 gears and 255/65-15 tires.
I wish Leach had a PCM flash for the 4.7. I feel it would run soo much better with it. Id love to see a built 4.7 motor run with the Ross pistons, ported heads, and 218 cams.

Adam,

Sorry, didn't clarify myself, the answer is still a resounding YES!

Please do a subject search, here on this site about the subject on something like, HO cam istallation, tips and tricks, or instructions, etc.

You'll find EVERYTHING you'll need,

Good luck

Adam for the most part this page is made up of Tech.'s, Ex-Tech.'s and advanced shade tree mechanics with no fear of automotive work. Very few people here pay people to mod thier truck. We welcome all and will try to help you but this is primarily a hands on page! True Car/Truck enthusist(sp) really frown on guys that just throw money at their truck to make it fast and know nothing about their car/truck and do not even own tools. Their is nothing wrong with that per-say it just is not what a HP pureist does!!!! By the way this was not meant to inflame or offend anyone. I was just trying to give him some undrstanding of what goes on here and the nature of the group!! So please do not get flamed!!!!!
