I have a bouncing feel when I drive between 40 - 45 MPH. I have replaced all 4 tires and had them high speed balanced. It feels like its coming from the back of the truck like the rear drums are out of round.

Anyone have any experience with this

I had this problem for a long time. Short version: my tires were balanced but they were not round...didn't see this or believe it until I saw the tires rotating on a vertical spin balance machine.

Longer version: I refused to believe that it was my tires because I had tried different sets of tires, and all would balance but none were perfectly round. I went through the driveline piece by piece, even having dodge replace the driveshaft (under warranty). I also had the shop put the truck on a lift with the tires removed and had them "drive" the truck to see the driveline spinning...no visible shakes without the tires on.

You'd think that out-of-round-tires would vibrate at all speeds, but for whatever reason they didn't...just at 40-45 mph. I gues the driveline & suspension were able to absorb the shaking at other speeds.

What worked for me: I got lucky and when I got my mud tires...they were round and it was a good shop that mounted and balanced them. If your tires aren't round you can have them shaved by a shop that will do it (very few will), or you can keep trying tires until you find a set that are round. If you try new tires, ask to see them mounted on the rims and balanced...if you see that it's not round, ask for another tire or have them reposition the tire on the rim and try again. It helps if the tire shop knows what the problem is beforehand and will agree to this before they touch the truck.

Well, problem fixed, it was my rear drums, I brought my Dak to a service center they turned the drums and replaced the brakes, I made certain to walk over to the Mechanic and tell him to torque the lugs to 100 'lbs and the truck rides great know. although one shop I went to SPEEDY, said that pulsation and boucing could only be front breaks and that I was probably wrong, so I left, the other shop actually check the brakes and did a great job.

I just hope they last, I have read so many horror stories on hear about breaks.

50,000 miles first brake job on rear, original fronts.

I have a QC and it bounces when I drive 65+ mph on a certain two-mile stretch of interstate. It's like a bad amusement park ride, but that's the only place it happens. So it's a combination between the road and the truck. None of my other vehicles have bounced through there.
