I may be wrong, please correct me if I am missing something here,, the crank case pressure release hose that goes to the air filter box is in my opinon on the wrong side of the filter and allowing the crap out of the hose in the intake before the filter so that it does not get filtered before it scums up the throttlebody, why is there no filter for this nasty line? I pulled mine out of my airfilter box capped the box hole and bought a crankcase filter and attached it to the hose outside the intakebox, No I did not get 60 HP as some posted BS may have you believe, its a matter of a cleaner throttle body and unwanted HOT gases going in the intake at a hotter temp when so many people are trying to believe cold air is where its at then this should be a good move for more than a few reasons.

Well I dont know the part# but I went into Lappens Auto and on the back wall there was many to chose from all were FRAME and plastic but one,it was a big (3") round gold color steel with about a 5/8" short stem coming off at an angle and about a 1" stem coming out of the center, I ran a hose off the 1" to the back of the truck to keep these stankin gases out of my cab, sorry I dont have the # but it was the only steel one in the bunch,,goodluck it was $4-5 thats it,, plus 1" hose

If you would have unscrewed the hose from the back of the intake you would have seen that the hole going to the block is about the size of a needle hole. That would not let much hot air or crap into the intake so please do more checking before you state a "FACT".

I do not mean to be a jerk but some things must be looked into farther.

THIS is why if YOU read my first statement Woody,It starts out "Correct me if I am wrong" And not "Fact for all!" it was my theory and by seeing no more scum collected in or around throttle body I now know its flowing CLEAN air and will reduce any chance of sticking,,,hey Woody notice I said "REDUCED" not "Eliminate"! I dont mean to be a jerk either which is why if you go back and "look into things little further" I started my post with "I may be wrong". Have a nice day and may the Dak Gods be with you all!

I was just going to run individual crankcase breathers on each side... looks a little tight in there though so I was thinking of running a few inches of 5/8" inner diameter braided steel line (or similar) just to move them out to where I can get more clearance. Just need to clamp them on to something so that they don't flop around in there... I'll post some pics if I ever get around to it... maybe tomorrow, maybe this summer :-)

Oh Darcy, you didn't read above but Woody says its all a waste of time and money and that its ok like it is and that black oily film on the butterfly in my throttle body is from the smog here in nasty ole Boston! So I took back my crankcase filter and bought a respirator,Gee Thanks Wood!
