whats up guys, my name is ken and im from the bay area, california. i just purchased a 2003 dakota r/t silver, leather, loaded, its badass, only 25 miles on it so i got a while to break her in, but she is comfy, too high though its comin down soon, i should be postin here more often

I would love to see the pics of your 03 Dakota R/T(email: dkota_rt@msn.com). I just bought a 2003 myself, in silver, however, leather is not an option on R/T's. Better check your build sheet to make sure the dealer did'nt sell you a regular Dakota with an R/T badge! Check the Dodge website if your unsure of the options. Enjoy your Dakota...

You can order r/t's with leather seats all day long you just usually don't see them sittin in a lot. Its a factory special order option though.

yah, leather is an option on CC r/t's, not reg cabs, its a factory ordered option, but this one that was on the lot had it, the interior is real nice, ill post pics of it soon, oh yah, how do these things tow once you get a class 3 hitch and soforth, id imagine theyve got plenty of power???

I appologize...you are absolutely correct.
Leather is available on the extended cab and not on the regular cab. I have the regular cab. I wish they had the leather option for the regular cab. I think I am going to go ahead and get leather custom installed on my seats anyway.
I took my 2003 R/T straight from the dealer and had the Kenne Bell Supercharger and optimizer installed. I then got the Cal Tracs installed last week.
The performance is incredible. Its amazing how many people seek to race you. Its been fun.

The R/T is rated to two 2000 pounds. It will easilly tow as much as any other Dakota made if you do something to help the rear springs. The R/T springs are ment to handle, and the lowered stance also limits suspension travel. It will hit the stops really easilly with a trailer over 2000 pounds. It may sit just fine with a tandem axle trailer only putting 400 pounds on the hitch, but once the weight starts moving around (like everytime you hit the brakes) problems can occure. The actually offered to buy back all the 98 R/Ts because of this, the trucks origianlly were rated at 6000 pounds. Just use some air bags on the axle or helper springs. You could swap out springs form a non r/t but that's gonna raise the rear another inch and look all wrong. Welcome to the gang, I'm sure you'll be happy. PS-everybody knows yellows are the fastest. They had to stop making them because their torque was actually changing the rotation of the earth!
