(Begin sarcastic tone) I bet it really works! Why spend the money on a "real" turbo, when this thing will give you 4 - 5 psi boost! WOW! What a deal! (End sarcastic tone)

You all might have seen this before...I hope no one falls for this...really, check out his math for intake pressure... interesting logic... :-/

This is the part I like best.

"And you dont have to have any controls to control the pressure since your computer will be doing all the work, it will compensate for any change on you engine. If there is more air coming in, it will pump more gas in."

I guess the FMU or extra injectors that come with conventional superchargers are just a waste and I can go rip mine out.

I have computer fans that produce more CFM than that thing... That gives me an IDEA!

how much cfm, would it take to create a solid boost level at all rpms for a 4.7L?

and is it possible to maybe put 2 fans side by side to create even more? Just thinking stupid

Proabably about 600CFM to break even at peak. Using normal fans is a waste of time.

In theory, could I plumb a compressed air line into my intake and shoot air in that way and get a positive result?

Mikey,
That's a good idea as far as getting enough air, but the problem with that is I don't think the computer has enough time to richen the air/fuel mixture by the time you open the valve. The sudden burst of air would cause it to run extremely lean. But if there was a way to keep a steady amount, something like that would work.

I have access to all the compressed air I could ever need up to 10,000psi. I have a 3000 psi tank (about the size of a 20lb CO2 talk for beverage machines) that I could mount in the truck, maybe install an adjustable regulator to increase the air flow.

I figure the original supercharger idea came from an idea close to this eh?

WOW, if you set it at constant 10psi (I know it's different than an actual blower 10 psi) how long would it last? (how big is the tank in gallons)

I guess that would work, but what about fuel and computer timing, then what happens if you run out of air?

here is an idea, replace your blower motor and fan for the A/C and heater. that would be one place this fan would come in handy .

HA HA HA. Those inline fans are hopelessly useless.

Too bad for them there is not as many Dakota suckers as there are import/economy car drivers LOL! After all. If someone believes an 8 INCH tailpipe adds horsepower to an inline 4 cylinder, then maybe they would buy something like this? Just an idea.

There's nothing like a real blower.

By the way. 10Lbs of pressure from a tank is different than measured on a blower. Your blower is actually causing 10Lbs of boost, or the pressure readed after the blower with it installed and the engine running (sucking in air from the blower). Nitrous basically does this from it's high pressure tank and two parts of pure Oxygen molecules. But it doesn't last long. I've heard of people using pure Oxygen at lower levels. And of course compressed air would do something if it could deliver approx 800CFM and that's just air, not pure Oxygen.

It seens to me that that dinky fan couldn't even keep up with normanl airflow and, therefore, the fan blades would actually add resistance to the incoming air.
