Try a new battery. Sounds like your old one has had it.

Actually, It sounds like you have a dirty throttlebody. When was the last time you cleaned it?

I've got the exact same problem with my 97 V6 112,000 miles. I took it to the shop and they recommended a new battery. That didn't fix it. I tried cleaning the throttle body (it was dirty)and that didn't fix it either. I've heard that a bad fuel pump can cause this and am considering replacing that. I'm also considering a new Throttle position sensor. The truck was on the scope and it checks fine. Any ideas??

Could be Map sensor, probably not TPS, or fuel pump. Check fuel pressure after you run it for a while. If ok replace the Map sensor.

mine just stopped after 1 1/2 days. I replaced the battery anyway. hasn't done it sense. The day it started was the coldest its been this year, mid 30's. dont know if that has anything to do with it.
I haven't cleaned my TB yet.
