I have a 99 CC 5.2L. I was wondering if upgrading the spark plug wires would increase performance at all?

I put Magnecore wires on my 98 5.2 (KV85), made it idle smoother, and the throttle body is a pretty easy switch, hope that helps.

Anyone, find an aftermarket set of plug wires for a 4.7 yet or make them from a "cut to length" universal set?

Jacobs 8.5MM Ultra-Fit wires are what I use and I noticed a slight performance increase. for the throttle body I got aprox 18 hp when installing my custom tb from Magnum Performance they really work with your needs not a prefab generic out of the box peice of crap like the others.

Magnum Performance TB, K&N GenII, Jacobs Pro Street ignition, ASP underdrive pulleys, Gibson Headers, Flowmaster 40 series muffler, Royal Purple lube from engine to rear end, and soon to come ASE Performance chip.

I put Accel 8mm universal fit wires on my truck. They seem better than the 7mm OEM. I still have a rough idle, but I think it's from low compression. The only thing about the Accel and the 5.2/5.9 set up (I don't know about the 4.7) is the coil wire won't be long enough.
