A few question about an engine swap from a rookie:
I have a 94 dakota 3.9 5spd and I just aquired a rebuilt 318 out of a 95 dakota.I know that I have to swap the engine harness and the ecu,but do I have to swap the wiring harness under the dash as well?
Will the 318 mount to my 5spd tranny,and if so will the 5spd handle it?
What suspension parts or any other parts need to be replaced for a proper swap?
advice is appreciated,thanx

I swapped the 3.9 in my 95 dak for a 318 and the AUTO tranny bolted right up, and it went out the first time I stomped on it. I drove home with 2nd and O.D. working. 1,3 and Reverse were inop.
I now have a trans from a 360 under my truck and it went in rather smoothly, but it is a tight fit in the trans tunnel.
I did notice a decent increase in fuel economy and a drastic increase in power with the larger motor.
