hey - i have been looking at these boards for a few weeks and am impressed by the way you guys help each other out, and the level of knowledge here

to get to the point - im a jeep guy(so im kinda new to this engine since i have been fooling around with the 4.0L I6 and other older jeep/chevy engines for the last few years), and recently purchased a '02 dakota sport club cab 4x4 w/ the 4.7L and a 5 speed (with the 3.92, corporate 9 1/4 rear end and trac-loc, and the tire and handling package)

i must say i am very happy with the truck so far, very fast and handles quite well (for a truck), although it is a bit loose in the rear end

i am going to be adding a 70mm TB, z tube with conical filter and the HO intake manifold and cams, and i already have a flowmaster 50 series muffler (sounds damn good too), and i might add headers and pipe the exhaust a bit bigger with high flow cats at a later date - those are the most cost efficient mods i have heard from you guys after alot of reading

i was wondering where the best place to get a PCM flash is - i'm in canada if that is any restriction

thanks again - if you guys have questions about stuff like lockers, lifts, winches and other 'wheeling equipment i will try to add my 2 cents

heres a pic of my truck if you are interested

FC - the only place I know of you can get a 2001 or newer flashed is Kenne-Bell right now. I happen to know, however, that Jonas (Premeir automotive) has someone that has recently gotten the programs for the 01 and 02's, so he will be able to offer another route on this. He is NOT currently offering flashes to anyone who isn't close enough to him to bring thier truck since he's still in testing and doesn't want to have someone pull a pcm, ship it, then get it back with a flash that doesn't do what everyone expected it to do. So your options are KB or hold off for a while.

PS: no word on cost from jonas yet either.

Funkycheeze,

If you plan on staying NA, then stick with a slightly larger and higher flowing single outlet exhaust. If you plan to get blown (S/C or turbo), then go with true duals after the precats with no larger than 2.25" pipes (preference is 2.0" even if it's in stock). Headers, intake, and the 70mm TB will definitely help the air intake and exhaust side of things, and the HO Cams and Intake will give you a great kick in the pants! After that, look for a Hotchkis (sp?) suspension kit. Your truck will handle like a regular sports car (if not better).
