Do you have a Limited Slip diff? What are your launch procedures. Are you slipping the clutch out of dropping it? What rpm? Did you heat up your radials or just go at it?

yes i have lsd. with the radials i just scuffed them a little bit before running (3-5 second burnout) the slicks i heated up for about 25 seconds or so. with radials i hold it around 2 grand and slip it out, once its all the way out i mash it! i shift out of 1st at 4800, out of second at 5200 and out of 3rd at 5000. My trucks seems to be faster when i short shift it like that rather than goin right to redline 5500. when i shift into 4th i never take my foot off the gas,it gives it one last boost at the end of the track

you really ran a 14.6 with a basically stock 4.7 V8. DAMN I have a 5.9L R/T and the fastest ive run is a 14.7 but thats with bald radials and just a muffler.

My homebrew intake really made a difference. Its simple too, all i did was enlarge the hole in the right front fender where the stock intake system pulls air, and put a cone air filter inside the fender well. Then i sealed the area off so the only air that the filter will see is air in the fenderwell. That is all cold air that comes from under the head light. I used pvc piping and those 90* elbows for the tubing. It does make a lot of noise too though, the fender echoes like a mother. Sounds like a honda but who cares its fast.
