In my opinion, save your money. I bought a ported/polished TB back in '94, changed it at the track and found no improvement. I've made a lot of changes since then and recently tried a borrowed F&B 50mm TB. Again, no improvement at all on the track. Nothing different with driveability either.

As others, I have ported my 4.7, stock 68mm TB.

I think it was CW, that posted on this earlier this year, he recs. a #60 dremel tool wheel. I think that's what I used.

On the 4.7, I mainly just removed the 'hump' at the bottom of the TB when you look at it from the front, with the air intake off.

Could I 'feel' the diff? not really
I don't dyno, or run the track with my QC.

I do feel it may help though, every little bit, especially when it cost next to nothing.

01 4.7 QC 5spd HO cams no belt fan/clutch, ported TB, IAT adj, homebrew intake W/ K&N, etc.

When I did my 5.2 I didn't take out the throttle shaft. Just thinned it a little.
