Subject: HO Cams- Had DC noticed?

I wonder if DC has noticed that they are selling a lot of HO cams? They're probably not bright enough to figure out that we're installing them in Dakotas. They probably think that a lot of the Jeep HO motors are eating cams, we'll probably end up forcing a recall, LOL.

I can't believe they had a big stock of these cams sitting on the shelf for replacements when the HO motor has only been out a year. Same thing goes for the HO intake manifolds.

I doubt DCX notices, but I'm sure the cam manufacturer has. You can bet they saw a large increase for product packed in Mopar boxes and not bulk packed for the engine factory. In fact, they're probably overjoyed that they're getting rid of the rusty cams that DCX rejected!! It's all a game...

CW has there been any notices about this in regards to TSB's or warranty work?

I would think that they wouldn't even consider any TSB's due to the fact that pretty much all of the cams are ordered and that's as much as the dealer/repair shop sees of them... Vehicles aren't being taken in for warranty work due to this so I would think it's not even an issue that's being tracked...

It isn't costing DC any money on warranty so they will not care. They will just take the money. It is all being sold over the counter. It is when warranty costs start to go up because of bad parts that DC gets upset.
