LOL - Intense, you read my mind. Remember the old
days of apprenticeship? When I wanted to get into
horses, I spent hours trading labour for knowledge and
hands on time with horses, and surplus equipment. A
keener like Greg would be an absolute bonus to a
small company like Bernd's, a win-win situation.

I think people complain because they like to complain. I mean how much time does Bernd spend on these boards helping people FREE of charge? The guy is having some problems so if its not gonna get here fast enough go somewhere else! That is the beauty of America free enterprize. Bernd helps alot of people here and the least we can do is throw some business his way for all his help. I mean if it were me I would give my advise to paying customers. But he is nice enough to spend his time to help us out which by the way slows down his orders.

Personaly I have decided to not put expensive performance adders on my truck besides the exhaust and intake that I have now (saving up for a cruiser) but I can guarantee you if I lived within a 5 hours drive of bernds shop I would already have the supercharger that I wanted on my truck. Even though I dond't personally know you bernd, I honestly wouldn't want anyone else messin with my truck...especially not the dealer!

My wife and I had an anniversary last week. I took her to a real fancy place to eat. Everyone brags on it and the owner is a real good guy. He's been super helping our community. At the restaurant you had to pay before you were served. But it's such a nice place, I didn't see a problem. After being there an hour we haven't received our food. I tried to get a waiters attention but they acted like I was invisible. Had my cellophane so I tried to call the restaurant. Got their answering machine. But no one returned my call. We set there for a couple of weeks, still no food. After four a half mouth I wanted my money back if I could get a hold of some one.
My question is should I have complained of their service or just kept my mouth shut and let them think I liked it? If they had said we are out of baked potatoes or that strawberries are out of season, I would have understood. But to let me set there just wasn't right. And these are good people though and like many I would help them any way I could but you got to take care of your customers because they will take care of you.

Folks,

I do appreciate the comments and do take note of all the comments in regards to customer service. My background is automotive but was in the IT Profession for 10 years due to the ecomonic requirements - living in CA - but I still kept up to date on the automotive side during those 10 years though. With this, I can say that "customer service" was a requirement 24x7 and the job can give you a crash course in handling stressful situations (most of you other IT people know what I mean as well). Customer, Client, Manager, or VP of the company...they're all still "customers".

With that in mind, we're only human and will make mistakes (and i'll be the first to admit making a few bad ones). On the orders, call backs, emails, etc., we (Tom and I) subsribe to about 10 different mailing lists and monitor those along with the emails, and voicemails. We call/email back according to time schedule and as our day permits.

PayPal has also been the biggest pain in the a$$ for us and this is why we no longer use them.

Greg, Ron, Lesley, and all others who responded (and customers who have read this)...thank you for your understanding. We're haven't had the best customer service within the last few months but are learning (pretty hard), evaluating, and changing the way we do things at the shop to better suit what our customers want.

With that said, please be patient as we're working on a few new items for the internet and local shop. (It has to do with ordering, emails, phone calls, and time management.)

Regards,

- Bernd

OK, personally I have never had the $$ to order from you Bernd but when the $$ comes I'll be a knockin'. That's for sure. I believe that without bernd this site would not get as much credit as it does because the advice he gives is 2nd to none. He knows these trucks better than most owners do but he's willing to help us understand.

This thread also makes on point clear for the umpteenth time. Because of his pivotal position on this site if you have a beef with him, get over it. This is not the place to attack him. All you do is make yourself look like a moron and make him look that much better. So just find a new way to vent.

A suggestion for Bernd.

http://store.yahoo.com/

I have had monumental trouble with Paypal. Yahoo has made things quite easy to process orders for small business. However, the downside is they do take a portion of your revinue on every order.
