I had heard that the 92 dodge dakota had more horsepower than what dodge rated it at. it was sold to my father at 200 horse even. and now i hear it is suposed to have around 240 stock. is this true or is someone yanking my chain

I had the 5.2 v8 in a 92 dak and it was rated @230hp.

230hp is what I remember .The port injected 5.2 V8 that was used in Dakota's had two differnt ratings over the years 230 or 235 . Better flowing and larger exhaust manifolds were used on some '92 trucks. The larger manifold was used on early production 1992 dakotas and added a few HP . I can't remeber if the advertised HP changed when the manifolds were updated , but a '92 felt faster than a '93 with the same options and gear ratio.

Ive been trying to find euro taillights for my 92dakota but I cant seem to find them does anyone know where I can find them. I have done alot to my truck look like my own and no one eleses I love it.
