I had a set on my 97 5.2 and had no problems untill I installed an electric fan. I also have the heavy duty alternator that came with tow package. If you have the heavy duty alternator it shouldn't be a problem.

MSD 6AL, SS blaster coil, 8.5mm wires, Accel cap and rotor, autolite 3923 plugs, K&N FIPK, 180 degree T-stat. Gibson single CAT-back, Carsound CAT, MOPAR PCM. Crower 1.7 RR's, F&B 50mm TB, M1 intake and turtle, Black Magic 150 electric fan

Robb,
I have a set that of UP pulleys off my 97 318, if you want them I would like to get 50 dollars, I paid well over 150 for them new, and they only have 15,000 miles on them, they look like new. I had to remove then because of my stero. let me know if your interested

Rob I know this is an old post but you can run the underdrive pulley on the crank to slow the accesories and install a smaller pulley on your alternator to avoid charging problems. This is what the power amp pulleys are. This means you need a 5 1/2" on the crank, a 1 7/8" on the alternator and leave the rest. If you have a 97 or older you can also change your water pump pulley. Keep in mind the smaller crank pulley has already slowed the water pump by 25%.
