If you want to run in the 11's, then yeah, I would do the HO cams, the TPS adjustment, a good cold air intake, headers and exhaust, and then strap a rocket engine in the bed.

11's with your 4.7??? bro, like j said strap a rocket to the back but make sure you add a really tall wing on the back for some downforce....oh yea, i hear clear tailights and stickers add 10 HP
even better, put the rocket on Nitrous!!!!

I laugh at all the idiots that just reply with stupid replys. I believe 11's is possible with the 4.7. All it depends on is the amount of money your willing to spend. KRCperformance.com is the place youll want to check out. For instance their 400+ hp all motor 4.7. :)

Yeah, no kidding, 11s aren't that far out of reach... KRC has that 500hp 4.7 and that's all motor, there's tons of new stuff coming out for this engine, if you want to hit 11s, the cheapest way is probably nitrous... get some of the new ROSS Racing 8.6:1 pistons, they'll handle anything you put them through. Don't bother with headers for now... factory exhaust manifold flows within 2.2% of what a set of 4 into 1 headers would (check out this site for all kinds of specs on the 4.7 http://dodgeram.org/tech/gas/Cammer/4_7_v8.html). Pick up a set of the new KRC 218 cams... and let us all know how they work for ya!
Good luck!

tman,

The chargers that are out now for the 4.7's are
Kenne Bell, and Paxton.

Powerdyne is just about ready to release their kit.

I put the clear tails and front markers on for the total package...I got about 15RWHP on those.

Wanderer....Kenebell can move your limiter to 135mph. ASEchips.com can do the same. Mike Leach can move your limiter to 255mph but only if you have a '00 4.7L. Premier-automotive has a flash to I think but I don't know anything about it. krcperformance.com uses Mike Leach. B&G can do something but i'm still not sure what.

Mike Leach won't touch your PCM if its 2001 or newer. Look at past posts for his info. Costs $400 plus shipping.

Not sure about B&G's tuning but its pricy. Look on the web for them. They charge $650 plus shipping I believe.

From what i've been told and what i've found out, the best way to take care of the govenoris to send your ECU off and get it reprogramed to completely ignore the govenor, i forget the name of the company that does it, but that might be a real good idea. I myself don't have a govenor, that i know of, i've had my 4x4 '97 Dakota SLT w/ a 5.2L in it up to to 120mph before I had to let off the gas and hit the brakes. Hehe, i will never do that again.
