My 02 4.7 manual clutch makes a squaeking noise when I deprease the clutch pedal. It sounds like its rubbing rubber or plastic? I brought it to the dealer and they said its just how it is and they oiled and greased it? I can't find another one to see if it too makes the same sound. If anyone can has any information on this topic your help is much appreciated.
Thank you, Dave

Is it the peddle, or the clutch itself that squeeks? Your going to get some linkage noise from the peddle and the actuators, but it shouldn't be super loud. If it's the peddle, a bit of WD-40 will clear it up!

Pop the hood and get a friend to pump the clutch until you find the squeeky culprit!

I haven't had that problem at all with the truck ... but I did have the problem with my old 'stang. It was a cable clutch though and it turned out the squeaking was the bushing that the clutch hinged on .. I just replaced the plastic and put a little wheel bearing grease in it and I was golden.

Mine does the exact same thing. The brake pedal also squeaks slightly from time to time. It's probably just a bushing or something that needs some lube. I just ignore it for now...
