Their definition of abuse is starting your truck and putting it in gear. They push their trucks everywhere they go.

I just did a complete rebuild of the brakes on my car for the hell of it. The pads needed replacing, but the rotors were in good shape. The car has 80,000 miles on it and this is the first time I've had to work on the brakes. It's a Chevy. The only reason I replaced the rotors on that car was because there is no one around here that can turn rotors on Sundays. The new ones were just $40.00 a piece. I kept the old ones and dropped them off at NAPA to get turned. So now I have a spare. My truck only had 16,000 miles on it before the brakes were shot. It only had 8,000 mile on it before the rotors warped. My Chevy has 80,000 miles on it and the rotors are still straight. I purposely hit the brakes harder in my Chevy because I can't figure out how Chevy's products could be so much better than Dodge's. I baby the brakes on my Dodge!

Newsflash!!! Powerslot Rotors and Ceramic pads are not the answer!! The brakes are just inadequate to handle the 4,000 lb + load. I had the Powerslots turned at 12,000 miles and they're ready again. The parking brake adjustment trick don't work either. That mechanic is full of BS. It's what "Dodge" insrtucted their "Robot-Zombies" to say to help keep the pressure off while they sell more defective products! Just like that fantastic "baffle" they created to get rid of the sludge in the oil filler spout created by venting the PCV into it !!! What Morons !!! I assume most of you have heard of an "in-line water-seperator" for fuel systems on Big-Rigs? Well, use an "under the kitchen sink" filter cannister, Throw the filter away, get yourself 4 feet of heater hose, drill 2 small holes into your breather cover, mount the filter cannister to the front of the breather cover, connect the hose and voila! You just solved the sludge problem. But be sure the cannister is the type with a rubber "O-Ring" on the lid. Otherwise you'll be sucking air and your truck won't run.
Anyway, If a person could get thicker (wider) rotors and a caliper to match, we'd all be in business. Don't wait for Dodge to do anything, we'll be pushin' up daisies by then !!!
