 Subject: Yet another PCM/Computer Question

I am wanting to upgrade my computer on '97 4x4 Dak's 5.2L Magnum V8
I have just spent a good amount of time, searching through the forums, looking for which is the preferred PCM/aftermarket computer.
This question seems to be asked a lot, with not clear answer.
The two recommendations the kept floating to the top were Mopar's HO PCM and JET.
Now my question to the Dak Forum Gurus: What is the recommended computer to purchase.
My goals are for a little better economy with no loss of the current GT Rustang killing performance. I desire a unit that I could install in my driveway.
I use my Dak as a daily driver and to tow. My standard cab Dak Sport is a 4x4, but I do not rock crawl or Mud Bog. I use my 4x4 to get through the nothern Indiana's snowy winters (which has been a scary mild the last 2 winters, we are due a big nasty one this winter)
