Just got smoked again. Me:93 5.2 dakota 4x4 with auto and 3.55's. Him:97 5.9 ram 4x4 with k&n, exhaust, auto, and 3.55's. He was my freind and just walked away right after we got off the line.

Vortech Supercharger/ NX 150 shot of nos... With JBA Headers, Ram Air, Throttle Body Mods and BFG Drag Tires, Hughe's ported heads
manifold ,Installed Qiuck D Performance throttle bod, I also put on Western Chassis 2/3 drop kit
Hotchkiss Sway bars, Nitto 275/50/17 tires for the street, Mickey Thompson Drag 28x10.5x15 on Durango rims, , - putting on 4.11 gears.. soon i don't know when,,, been kinda cold here...

what are you running 2 psi? there's no way your running 9 si with 125 shot of nos. Its pretty sad people come on here making stuff up they don't have. Facts are facts and you can't do that on a stock motor.

I've seen many v8s run a 200 (sometimes more) shots of nos with stock engines. Most that do this (I would never) only run this once or twice a year when they hit the track. Its possible to run a SC with a 125 shot of nos and not have the engine explode. Its only a matter of time before it does, but it can be done. Mopar reported running a 150 (if I remember correctly or was it 200?) on a Neon and the engine stayed together. It was a good article, they rented the neon and strapped the bottle down with seat belts. They worked their way up on the shots, expecting the engine die at around the 100 shot mark. The nos eventually backfired and launched the fireball intake box throw the hood and into a field a few hundred yards away. This happened after they had been at the track most of the day. They ran got the stock auto Neon into the low 11s, which I find amazing and funny!

My point: If a stock Neon and stay together, a 360 can stay together (at least for a short period of time). Why accuse someone of lying when its not impossible?

Oh, I remember a Mustang owner running a 300 shot on a stock bottom end 351 Windsor engine. When he rebuilt the engine the stock crank was worn, but I was expecting much worse.

Just-10 It could make sense if you did some timing work. And maybe o ringed the heads. With that much nitrous and boost I don't believe it. If you were running both then something is not working right because I run a 12.9 with 150 shot in a 5.2. If you're running 12.4 with both then something isn't right. If it is holing up good for u. Remember mopars only have 4 head bolts per cylinder. You might be pushing it withstock motor. You may blow head gaskets, burn up a valve, blow off the top of a piston (only hypo's in stock), or just plain oll gernade it. It's great to have bragging right on a time but its good to be able to back it up after.

ok lets go over it again. vortech supercharger at 9 psi. number 2 150 shot of nos. thats like a 300 shot of nos on a motor. NO WAY. Those are some sad numbers for a dakota even with a 360 to rum 12.4 with that much power adder. I have a Vortech T-Trim at 11 psi with head intake work. Basically everything you can do to a motor without touching the bottom end. And I run 12.0's THere's no way stock pistons can handle it. Tell you what put a 300 shot of nos on your motor and let me know what happens.

Like I said before, "I would never". Just because I won't does not mean that someone else wouldn't give it a try. I've seen folks try all sorts of crazy things at the track.

As far as numbers go, the guy didn't mention temps, track conditions, humidity, or altitude. As many of us have read recently in Sport Truck magazine, the "R/T Shootout" didn't post impressive numbers because of the conditions. Most people who read the article jumped to the conclusion that those R/Ts are slow, which wasn't the case. At the R/T Nationals BigBird posted 12s running an SC and nos (usually runs mid 11s), which was the fastest for the day. Would you call him sad because he didn't run as fast as you with your t-trim?

nope, it sad that you believe what he put in front of you. I don't see him responding one bit. You can read all the mags you want. but it isn't happening. Anyone in there right mind who works on there own motor wouldn't do anything remotely like that. Because common since comes in the affect saying I going to blw this thing up. he has over 5000 in those 2 parts. everything else is stock. no blower cam, no head work. its no happening. No matter how much you believe it it isn't. every rc cab R/T I seen down here in Louisiana at the trck ran 15.0's. So had Mickey ET streets. Just like the 4.7 down herre. Everyone brags on how fast they are. fastest again at the track was 15.10s You can ask wayne he goes to the track all the time. He'll tell you the same. I gues if I run 12.0s down here i'm looking at mid 11's up north? All in all He's full of it

Do you change head gaskets after each run.
If no then you must be consuming the 125 shot. It's suppose to spray in the motor not the cab.

Who's that? I"m running just a Vortech T-Trim with 11 psi. I don't see how he's keeping head gaskets on with 150 shot and all the boost the blower putting on the motor. It must be a rare o-ringed stock block.

just 10 is just asking for a melted piston or a slung rod. also in your post of your mods you said you had bfg slicks, then in the next sentence you said you had mickey thompsons. and you said you had little throttle boddy mods. in the next sentence you said you had quick d t/b. i don't think you even know what you have and it's your imagination. besides, your compression ratio would be so screwed up on a stock bttom end with s/c and 125 shot that you would've blew the motor on the first run.

Yeah,m I got a 99 dakota R/T jba headers , powerdyne supercharger, jacobs electronics ignition, 24lb. fuel injecters, 3 in. exhaust, K and N air filter and my r/t is still a dog. I NEED HELP!!!!! What can I do to boost my acceleration? hurry

Dennis. One word....CAM! The stocker cams have very lazy timing events. Roller rockers will help, but will not fix a lazy cam.
