Hello to all fellow dakota owners! I recently purchased 4.7 HO cams and JBA headers for my 01 QC. I have gotten the cams but not the headers; it has been 2 weeks as of today. My problem is that I have sent emails asking for the status or tracking number but have gotten zip for a response. I have tried calling but the phone just rings, no one, no machine during their hours. I know some of you deal with KRC and was wondering if I should be concerned? Anyone with a similar story? Thanks.

wait another 4 weeks, call another 10 times, and email them a few more times. If that fails then you have a right to come back here and b*tch. I know that it's a pain in the ass, but so is dealing with "impatient" customers.

if i were you i would try calling him again and emailing him. Marty gets pretty busy at times and it is hard for him to keep up the communication. People need to realize that KRC is for the most part a ONE MAN operation. That is what I respect the most about the guy. He gets mail orders from all across the country, local customers dropping by all the time, local customers vehicles in the shop all the time, and endless phone calls all the time. So you can only imagine how backed up the guy can get with his business. I myself live only 20 min away from his shop and have had work done there before. All I can say about his service is that it is stellar. Absolutly no complaints at all. Hope this provides some unsight for ya.

I've ordered MSD and a new PCM for my 93 Dakota 5.2l AUto.

I got the MSD after 13 days, and the PCM after 5 days. Not so bad =) The MSD took longer because it wa snot in stock. This could be the case on your headers.

I have received my headers. KRC was very good about everything. On another note...when I took receipt of my JBA headers, i noticed that the flanges were not machined flat (where the tubes are welded to the header plate). This would have blown my seals and leaked. Just a note to anyone, check this out if you get headers. I am going to machine them myself. This is a problem that I will inform JBA about.

Thats the most ignorant statement I have read yet! If I ordered something from some business and they wouldnt reply back I would be very upset. He shouldnt have to call 10 times and wait 4 weeks for a SIMPLE REPLY. Seems like he came hear to find out more info about the company and wasnt realy b*tching about it.

Think about it!

FlameRed, I know that they are supposed to be stepped, not flat across the plate. What I meant to say is that where the tubes are welded to the header plate, the steps are not flat. It looks like someone took a disc grinder to them, they are very uneven.

I hope that I don't ever have to order from them again, cause I won't.

R/Truck, you ever thought about leaving a message, or that your PCM would not flash and had to be sent back for another. What do you think KRC is? Some big Summit Racing with Zillions of Dakotas parts in stock? Get a clue, it is a speed shop, small and extremely busy. If I told you your PCM was shipping that day and the stupid, yes stupid UPS worldship computer went down, which it did, you think thats a lie? With over 40 shipment scheduled to go out that day, do you think I am going to call everyone on that list and tell them I'll try again tommorrow? Statements like yours are the reason I want to quit, show- race my truck and make you guys wonder why yours isn't at the same level. To work for some moron boss at some company again, and just smile at him with his stupid job requests, while not worrying about what people are saying about ME, on some internet forum, it's called peace. Do yourself a favor, order from Magnum Performance next time, when his service doesn't work, keep going on through the list of shops, after about 6 shops, you'll have to do it yourself. None of these companies are perfect, and are likely to not be as this forum points out so often. If I told everyone you were a liar and I did not even know the facts, would you want to continue?

So it is our responsibility to investigate our orders, do you ever think maybe you could have just sent an email stating this. Attacking your customers on public forums will not get you anywhere. And I did leave a message, and called three other times with no answer, and your email help likes to, well not help us.

If you insist on taking the money, then try and deliver the product. It shouldn't take over a month for a simpe order.

By the way I got the PCM this morning, Thanks for you all your kind and prompt service! (Sarcastic voice)

It's alright for you to attack him (KRC Performance) on a public forum, but if he responds he's wrong. WO! I need to re-align my thinking here. It's public knowledge that KRC is a one man operation, so if you expected next day delivery then go to a larger company and pay their price. (if you can find someone else to do it) If and when buisiness grows enough to support it then maybe KRC will hire someone else. (Refer to economics 101) I am not a freind of any person in any shop anywhere, so I'm posting this as my own moral obligation deems necissary. The greatest thing about this Democracy is if ya don't like it ya have another choice. If you are small you can try. If I call you stupid in public you have the right to rebuttal, but sometimes things are better left unsaid.

Guess what... you got it today... 31 days after you initially ordered it... Factor in last week being a 'short week'... It came pretty much as quickly as it could. KRC's response to your public ranting is completely justified. C'mon, you wanted a good price, and you ordered from a busy shop. That comes with the territory.

I've got order's that are nearly 2 months old right now-- 100% out of my hands due to backorder on some parts. I email those people every 2-3 weeks with a heads up (and a offer of a refund if they don't want to wait...). I have the luxury of doing this (while at my normal paying job!)... If I went fulltime with parts/services... I wouldn't have the time...

Please don't be like the gentleman who wanted pricing on a TB from me-- argued the price, then ordered 3.5 weeks later (well after the point that they were in stock-- which I told him they would go fast), and blew up at me because I couldn't send him one overnight the next day (he had to wait 4 weeks---)

Relax guys/gals... You'll get your stuff LOL.

If public knowledge is an attack then so be it, people have a right to know these things so they can make the choice. Should I pay an extra few dollers and get my part on time with the ability to know how much shipping is, and track my order? OR Send a one man shop some money and be in the dark for a month with no way of ever getting a hold of anyone?

That's what kills me about some (I said some) of you know it all's....you get a little knowledge and you become experts. 90% of the people on this list now KNOW I have Mrs. Katy sorting through this business daily as an employee.

As for SeeYa's stupid, ignoramous, lack of knowledge comment...frankly SeeYa, I do give a damn, 12 hours per day, and alot of people are benefiting from it. This is my last post on this site, as it does nothing but make me angry at the 1% idiots in a crowd of excellent Dakota and Ram people that are out there. Its bigmouths like you who screw it up for the good guys.

Sam I don't know how you put up with it, I have a ton of respect and admiration for you.

As for you R/T I didn't attack you and I never Insisted to take your money, you gave it freely, you started it with your Billboard Post, this is attacking you....I hope your truck chokes on that PCM.

The PCM was ordered for a friend, not my truck. That is why I was worried about getting the order in a timely manner. So just chill out, and continue on with your business, I'm sure you have orders to be working on. If you don't like people being critical about your business then your in the wrong business. There will always be the 1% of clients that complain no matter how good you are. So just keep on doing what your good at and people will learn what to expect from that. No hard feelings, and I don't want to push you out of this forum for any reason.

P.S. Maybe your tech help line could also double as a order status line. He did respond to all my emails however he never knew a thing about the order. I don't mind calling but most of the time the phone just rings.
