In your opion what is the best supercharger for a 5.2L dakota? I was thinking Kenne-Bell, but also have been considering Vortech. Any thoughts on benefits of screw type vs. centrifugel?

Paxton is supposed to be real good, but I'm not sure if they make one for your truck. Powerdyne is the only one I have heard that has had problems.

Vortec makes the best for the 318 motor, from what I've seen. Paxton is right along side, but I've seen a properly prepared (and yet street driven) Dakota go mid 11's with a Vortec R-trim (at 10 psi) on a 318 with a 75-shot of nitrous and a 5-spd.

I think the twin screw type will give you more boost at lower RPM's.

I had the kenne bell on a 318. It sucked, wast of money. Go with something else.

What didn't you like about the KB supercharger? I was thinking of getting one. How long ago did you get it? Did you also get the optimizer chip?
I could use some info from someone that actually had one. Thanks.

I had considered the Kenne bell also, or a paxton, but was leaning towards the Kenne bell, supposedly has a greater power increase. What didnt you like about the Kenne Bell?

I have heard that the Kenne-Bell is impossible to tune, and what few guys have tried it really spent some time to get them to run correctly. Maybe someone out there has had good luck with them, but I have not heard it yet.
