Subject: gauge cluster

none of my gauges will function except every once
in awhile when the roads are wet they will kick in
for a few seconds then shut off again,instrument
panel lights work correctly all of the time.

i've never dug into the cluster but my best guess is it's a grounding problem and when it gets wet the water acts as a conductive. i would start at the battery ground and work your way back.

just to add. there may be a wiring connection under the truck somewhere and when water gets in it, it helps move the electrical power. doesn't have to be a ground wire now that i think about it. probably just needs to be cleaned.
